My media consumption

 Newspapers

• Which daily newspapers (if any) do you read?

         None.

• What sections of newspapers do you turn to first, and why?

         The game section with he word search.

• What sections do you never read, and why?

         The in detailed political discussions with the monarchy or parliament as most of the time           they take about subjects in depth that does not help or impact our world.

• What kinds of stories do you usually read and why?

          I like to read about what's happening across the world as its very    

          interesting gain knowledge about a range of countries.

• Do you, or someone else, buy the newspaper you read?

          sometimes we buy the newspaper but never to read we usually use it for arts and crafts.

• Do you look at the online versions of any newspapers? Which newspapers? Why do you visit their website and not others?

Magazines

• What magazines (if any) do you buy regularly?  Why/why not?

      I receive magazines in the mail from different stores like Dior and h and m from 

       subscriptions but I don't buy them.

• What sections of the magazines do you read and not read, and why?

       I enjoy looking at the items they have to sell or latest products that are my taste.

Television

• Approximately how many hours a week do you spend watching television?

       I watch television around 14 hours a week.

• What device do you use to watch television?

      Most of the time its my phone but I do use my television from time to time.

• What times of day do you usually watch television?

      After school or before i got to bed  so that i can relax.

• What programmes do you like best and why?

       I like to watch on Netflix such as k dramas. i recently just finished the One Piece live   

      action.

• Do you watch alone or with others? If you watch with others, who decides what you will watch? 

       I mostly watch alone but if i watch with others i decide.

• Do you watch 'live' TV or on-demand/catch-up? Do you use any other devices to watch TV (such as laptop or tablet?)

       I watch catch up due to time and mostly watch on my phone.

Radio

• Do you listen to the radio?

      no

• Do you listen to podcasts?

      Yes

• If yes, what podcasts have you listened to recently?

       True crimes/horror stories.

• Approximately how many hours a week do you spend listening to podcasts or radio?

       6 hours.

• What times of the day do you usually listen to podcasts or radio?

       Late at night.

• Where do you listen to podcast or radio?

       Spotify.

• What other activities (if any) do you do whilst listening?

       Drawing or I read sometimes.

Film

• What films have you seen in the cinema in the last month?

      I watch Spider man the multiverse a while ago.

      I watch a mixture of films.

      Family.

      Usually i do as i watch more films or shows.

      Phone and TV

Online

• How often do you access the internet?

      Everyday.

• Where do you access the internet? At home, at school, commuting etc.

      Mostly at home.

      Mostly at home but recently i also use it a lot at school.

• What are the main sites that you access?

      Social media, Netflix or google.

• What are the main reasons for accessing these sites – for example, for information, to make purchases, communicate with friends or for entertainment?

      Communicating with family and friends or i most watch shows and listening to music

• What other activities (if any) do you do whilst accessing the internet?

       I usually like to multitask so i do my homework or just draw.

      I use both phone and TV to access the internet.

• What social networks do you use regularly (e.g. Twitter, Instagram)? Why do you belong to these networks in particular?

      I use a lot of social media, i use tiktok a lot because of how addictive the scrolling     

     algorithm is.

Final section: reflection

• How can you develop the amount and variety of media you consume?

      I can develop this by reading newspapers or articles or explore media i wouldn't usually   

      read.

• What will you change in your media consumption habits this year as a result of studying A Level Media?

     It will increase as i need to consume more information.

• List three sources of media (websites/newspapers/apps/TV programmes etc.) that you will start to access this year that you haven't engaged with previously.

     Probably watch more news on the tv or look up more articles/newspapers.
